LOUISVILLE SLUGGER® TPX® HAS INNOVATIVE FINGER ON PULSE OF CATCHER'S EQUIPMENT

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –Protecting the catcher is easy. Providing protection while allowing the catcher optimum mobility and flexibility? That’s a difficult task, but such challenges inspire Louisville Slugger® designers. Fortunately for catchers everywhere, their inspiration has produced the PULSE Chest Protector and Shin Guards, which answers the call for ideal performance while providing maximum protection.

WHAT IS PULSE?

Anatomically and ergonomically designed based on feedback from collegiate and professional catchers, PULSE equipment provides light and comfortable fit but with superior performance and protection. PULSE stands for Protective Ultra Lightweight Shock Absorbent Ergonomic – all terms catchers agree describe PULSE equipment.

PULSE CHEST PROTECTOR

The TPX® PULSE Chest Protector includes advanced dimple padding which provides the most effective impact reduction system and lightest chest protector on the market. It has cutting-edge removable suspension floaters, shoulder guards and groin protectors to provide superior protection and is constructed with independent design to mimic player movement. The soft and sleek components increase comfort and the over-the-shoulder harness give catchers a superior comfort fit in a chest protector.

The PULSE Chest Protector is constructed using black nickel hardware with a strategic pad design utilizing top-grade memory foam. It is available in large and intermediate sizes and in black, gray, navy, royal and scarlet colors.

PULSE SHIN GUARDS

Similar innovative and orthopedic design comes to shin guards in 2008 with the all-new TPX PULSE Shin Guards. The anatomically inspired design features a sleek, tapered shin with high-impact resistant plastic, reducing weight and improving mobility without sacrificing protection.

The PULSE Shin Guards also feature an enhanced triple knee design to improve comfort and function. There are additional built-in shin and knee cap padding cushions to offset high-impact areas and extra, removable toe caps. Sandwich mesh side padding reduces weight and increases breatheability, making the PULSE Shin Guards unmatched in performance and protection.

TPX PULSE Shin Guards come in adult sizes large (16-inches) and XL (17- inches) and an intermediate size (14.5-inch) with a double knee cap. Both sizes come in black, gray, navy, royal and scarlet colors.
