LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S SUPPORT FOR US TROOPS SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ

Louisville Slugger has a long history of helping U.S. troops in war, dating back to WWI. We’ve supported troops with baseball and/or softball equipment in every major U.S. military conflict since. That includes WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and now the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Since 2003 Louisville Slugger has worked to send more than 14 tons of sports equipment to our nation’s dedicated soldiers and sailors in war theatres. Numerous troops have sent emails and letters telling us how much they appreciate being able to play a little ball to escape, no matter how briefly, from the stresses of war. The soldiers in these photos are stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan and Bagram Air Base. They were supported by Louisville Slugger through the assistance of Project Prayer Flag. Louisville Slugger has also worked with the OnSight Support Family & Friends and USA Cares organizations to assist troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
