Once an Astro, Always an Astro.
Craig Biggio retired after the 2007 season having played his entire 20-year career with the Houston Astros. He announced his retirement on June 24 – and later that day hit a game-winning Grand Slam, his 2nd of the year and the 4th of his career. Four days later, he made his landmark 3000th hit.
A 7-time All Star, Biggio holds the NL record for lead-off home runs, and tops the Astros career list in games played, at-bats, hits, extra-base hits, doubles and runs scored.
