NEW SILVER SLUGGER TEAM AWARD FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Louisville Slugger® has named finalists for the first-ever Silver Slugger Team™ Awards. This new award will honor the season’s best offensive teams in the National and American Leagues.

Silver Slugger Team Award finalists in the National League are the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies. Finalists in the American League are Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners.

These finalists were determined through analysis and ranking of team offensive statistics through late September.

“Every year, there are a handful of teams in each league that are capable of hanging crooked numbers on a near-nightly basis and with the introduction of the Silver Slugger Team Award, these clubs will get their due alongside the standout individual offensive performers in the game,” said Louisville Slugger Marketing Manager, Jake Misener. “Being able to involve MLB fans across the country and giving them a voice just adds another layer of excitement to the continuing legacy of the Silver Slugger Award.”

MLB® fans can vote for Silver Slugger Team Award finalists in each league starting at 10 a.m. Monday Sept. 25, on MLB.com. By voting, fans will be entered in a drawing to win a trip for two to a Major League game in early 2024 and present an MLB player with a Silver Slugger Award.*

Voting runs through 11:59 pm ET on October 1, the final day of the 2023 MLB regular season. Silver Slugger Team Award winners and the fan winner will be revealed on MLB Network’s Silver Slugger Award Show in November.
