How the Trade-In program works
We are accepting two bats per household per 12 month period.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
No. We’ll cover shipping. After you complete your trade-in form we will e-mail you a shipping label to send us your old bat, and all bats purchased on slugger.com include free shipping.
Will the bat I purchase with my discount code carry a full warranty?
Yes, your bat will be covered under our 1-year warranty.
If a bat is purchased with a trade-in discount code, is that bat eligible for trade-in itself at a later time?
Yes, our trade-in program will continue to update to include future models.
What if I have a bat from a brand that’s not noted on the list?
If that’s the case, please message our customer service team through the form on this page, and we will evaluate if your bat will be considered for the program.
What can I expect after I submit my Trade-In form?
Our customer service team works to respond to all form submissions on a first come, first-serve basis, and will contact you via e-mail upon completion of our review. We will then email you a shipping label you can use to send us your bat. After we receive and confirm your trade-in bat’s condition, we will issue your discount code via e-mail which can be applied to any 2023 or 2024 Slugger BBCOR bat, or any 2023 or 2024 Slugger Fastpitch bat.
Can I trade-in a custom bat?
Yes. Your discount code will take into account the MSRP of the custom bat you purchased. Please note that at this time discount code cannot be used towards the purchase of a new Custom bat.
Can I trade-in a warranty stamped bat?
Yes.
Can I trade-in a cracked or broken bat?
No. We are only accepting bats that are in usable condition.
Can I return a bat for Trade-In while it’s still under the original 12-month warranty period?
Yes.
What does Louisville Slugger do with my bat?
Where applicable, we work to recycle products and donate bats in good condition to our charity partner, Pitch in for Baseball & Softball.
I live outside of the United States, can I take part in the Trade-In program?
At this time this program is only available for shipping within the contiguous United States.
HOW TO USE MY DISCOUNT CODE?
How do I make a purchase with my discount code?
In order to redeem your discount code, please select the BBCOR or Fastpitch bat you want to purchase and add it to your shopping cart. At checkout, enter the code (without any spaces) in the “Discount Code” field, then click “Apply.” Once applied, the cost of the discount code will be removed from your total and you can proceed to checkout.
How long will my discount code be good for?
Discount codes will be redeemable for one year from the date of issue.
I returned multiple bats and received multiple vouchers. Can I combine them in one order?
Only one discount can be applied per order.
Can I use my discount code on a non-bat purchase?
No. This discount code can only be applied to a 2023 or 2024 Slugger BBCOR bat, or a 2023 or 2024 Slugger Fastpitch bat
Will my discount code be eligible for custom items?
No. At this time we are only applying the discount codes to eligible, in-line 2023 or 2024 Slugger BBCOR bat, or in-line 2023 or 2024 Slugger Fastpitch bat.
I purchased an item with a trade-in discount code and I need to return it for a refund. How does that work?
Our standard return policy will apply, but you will only be refunded for the amount you paid after applying the discount code. Contact our customer service team to receive a new discount code for the remaining difference.
